Gambling News From U.S. States
The week-long gambling news travels first to Las Vegas, which is moving in the right direction for recovering from COVID-19. There's also online gambling news in New York and a raid by Arkansas police.
As Las Vegas casinos move toward the state's goal of limiting 100% capacity through June 1, the Nevada Gaming Control Board announced that they will be allowed to raise the limit to 80% starting May 1.
Along with increasing capacity restrictions, social distancing will also be reduced to just 3 feet as of 1st of next month. Both moves come as the Game Control Board issued emergency guidelines last week that would allow casinos to follow the guidelines of local authorities.
The Board also stated that each individual property may submit an exemption that allows for fewer restrictions and/or increased capacity limits, but only if it proves a commitment to an employee's vaccination obligations. The exemption must be submitted by April 27. 실시간 바카라사이트
Meanwhile, New York online sports betting has finally been signed into law by Governor Andrew Cuomo. Now, the real work begins. The goal is to be fully regulated in time for residents to bet on the next Super Bowl. That means writing rules, processing applications, and starting within nine months.
Once the applications to run the web-based sportsbook are submitted, the Gambling Commission will have 150 days to process them and select only two providers. Requests to submit applications to the state will come by July 1 at the latest, and the applications will go through a competitive bidding process to select providers.
