American Airlines Refund Policy

• According to American Airlines' refund policy, you can easily cancel your reservation if for any reason you are unable to fly with them. Your money will then be refunded back to your original method of payment within a short period of time.
• Additionally, in accordance with American Airlines refund policy for nonrefundable tickets, you can only cancel and receive a refund if you do so within 24 hours of booking; otherwise, the cost of the ticket will be lost. 
• In contrast, if you have a refundable ticket, you can cancel it and receive a refund as long as you do so before the flight's departure. You will automatically receive a refund if you cancel a refundable ticket within 24 hours of making the reservation.
