This is the most fragile period in pregnancy for both the child and mother, it is the early stage of pregnancy when the baby has its body and organs formed. During the first trimester, the body of the mother undergoes significant changes and she begins to feel certain symptoms such as morning sickness (nausea and vomiting), fatigue, constipation, heartburn, and others.
This is also the period when hormonal changes occur in the mother as she begins to experience mood swings, craves certain foods, and exposed to weight gain or loss. Everyone woman has a unique first-trimester experience and ways of overcoming them. It is in their first trimester that some women experience increased energy.

At his stage, the fetus has developed its organs and systems and it’s now left to fully develop into a baby. The second trimester is often much easier for many women, by this time, they would have left morning sickness and fatigue behind them or experience them occasionally. This period is commonly called the golden period, it is also a time for the baby bump to start showing in the abdomen.
However, the second trimester comes with a lot of symptoms different from the first. These include abdominal pains, leg and thigh aches, stretch marks around the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs, constipation, heartburn among others. The various symptoms associated with this stage of pregnancy vary from one woman to another. Generally, pregnant women feel their baby move towards the end of this trimester.
- Third Trimester (27 to 40 weeks)
This trimester is the final stage of pregnancy when the baby is born. This stage comes with several discomforts and emotional changes including sleeping problems. The woman might experience swollen body parts and an enlarged nose, these are normal and would go away once the baby is born. At this stage, you would also fee that the baby is moving towards the lower part of the abdomen, ready to be born. At this stage, a pregnant woman may also experience nipple leakage, where pre-milk comes out in anticipation of the baby.
