Final Fantasy XIV Update 5.5 & Magitek Predator Identification Key

Have you always wanted to roam Eorzea driving a two-legged machine? You are lucky. Thanks to the Moogle Treasure Trove: Esotericism Hunt event, you will be able to obtain the Magitek Predator ID Key, which you will need to unlock the Magitek Predator mount in Final Fantasy XIV. This event only lasts until the launch of patch 5.5 part 1 on April 13, so hurry!
Acquire irregular tombstones
To get the Magitek Predator ID Key, you will need 50 Irregular Esoteric Tombstones. You get these tombstones by completing specific tasks related to the Moogle Treasure Trove event.
A moogle symbol will be present next to the tasks that are included in the event. Complete these tasks with a full party, otherwise you won't earn the Irregular Esoteric Tombstones.
To find out which tasks get the most headstones, check out our guides on how to get Esoteric Irregular Headstones for the moogle treasure event in Final Fantasy XIV and how to get the ignition key of the falcon in Final Fantasy XIV.
Find a roaming Moogle
Once you get 50 Irregular Esoteric Tombstones, you will need to find a Roaming Moogle NPC to exchange your Tombstones for the Magitek Predator ID Key. There are three roaming Moogle NPCs, one in each of Final Fantasy XIV's three major cities.
One in the Lower Bridges of Limsa Lominsa at X: 9.4 Y: 11.6
One in New Gridania at X: 12.4 Y: 12.1
One in Ul'dah, Nald steps to X: 9.6 Y: 9.1.
Once you find one of the three roaming Moogle NPCs, talk to them and exchange your 50 Irregular Esoteric Tombstones for the Magitek Predator ID Key. You can only get Irregular Esoteric Tombstones until April 13; you can trade them up to patch 6.0.
Final Fantasy XIV will soon receive a new update, number 5.5, titled "Death Unto Dawn Part 1". Square Enix today released a new gallery of screenshots and illustrations.
We'll see the new test version titled “The CLoud Deck,” an Ishgardian celebration update that honors our efforts, and a preview of the PS5 Open Beta that accompanies the update.
"The bridge of clouds
With the advent of the Imperium's latest and deadliest weapon, Gaius and the Warrior of Light take flight aboard Cid's latest creation. Will these marvels of technology and camaraderie enable them to overcome the threat of destruction that once again hangs over Werlyt?
Updates from Ishgardian restoration
Thanks to the tireless efforts of all Skybuilders, the Risensong district is now complete, bringing the restoration effort to a triumphant end. As a new era begins in Ishgard, luminaries from all over Eorzea have been invited to the Firmament to participate in a ceremony commemorating this momentous occasion.
PlayStation 5 Open Beta
The PlayStation 5 Edition open beta test begins, offering full 4K support, significantly improved load times and frame rates, and a better-than-ever gaming experience. Richer and more immersive adventures await you across Eorzea and beyond! "
A few weeks ago, we learned that the next expansion, titled "Endwalker", will be released in the fall of 2021. You can check out countless details and the first official screenshots and illustrations.
Square Enix also released details about the upcoming 5.5 update some time ago and recently released some new screenshots.
If you're new to Final Fantasy XIV, it's currently available on PlayStation 4 and PC. An open beta for the all-new PS5 version will be released on April 13 along with Update 5.5.
