EA tackle toxicity in its FIFA games
EA has confirmed that it held two FIFA 21 celebrations in response to community reports that the behavior was "toxic".
While EA did not specify why the two affected celebrations - the A-OK celebration and the "Shush" celebration - were removed for the final installment of the soccer franchise, it did confirm that other celebrations could also be threatened with removal if They also promoted toxicity.
"The community told us that the game had toxic behaviors and we wanted to make sure we removed them," EA said (thanks, comic). "So we've removed some of the celebrations that people thought weren't the best idea in the game. The flow is shorter, which means you should play most of the time instead of just waiting. All in all, it passes." The intention is just to keep you going, rather than doing other things that may not be necessary in the game. "
Although EA are two of the most controversial aspects of the 2019-2020 season, EA's next soccer sim isn't trying to replicate them in the game. As Ben summed up at the time, VAR - short for "Video Assistant Referee" - was largely negatively viewed by Premier League fans after a series of minor offside calls that were lifted, and its use in England is likely to be reviewed this summer. Fan-free stadiums are a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic and are expected to be the norm in most major football leagues over the next season.
Meanwhile, EA removed the walk-back movie after scoring a goal in online games. This is welcome as it is boring to see and serves no purpose. EA said it also shortens the length of peat celebrations.
Outside of celebrations, EA has tweaked the game to reduce other toxic wastes of time. In FIFA 20, players can lose up to 30 seconds in set pieces such as kick-off and throw-in.
For FIFA 21, EA has shortened the waiting time for various standard situations. For example, the kick-off is now 10 seconds. A throw-in now takes 12 seconds. A goal kick is 15 seconds, as is a corner kick and a penalty kick. A free kick gives you 20 seconds.
FIFA 21 also automatically skips some animation sequences when the ball goes out of play in online games. For example, when a player takes the ball for a throw-in or when the goalkeeper walks slowly to put the ball down for a goal kick.
FIFA 21 will be released on October 9, 2020 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X, and SSEGold will provide cheap and safe fifa 21 coins for your guys.
