Post Delete Lockbox - FAQ Placeholder
Hello all,
Manageing my foruns, i´ve deleted the 'lockbox' forum and moved the inside topics to a new one. So far so 'good'. But now since it was a functionality forum, i can't delete anymore forums or even the topics inside the new forum that has the old topics/posts (like i said previously) bc the system says that the 'lockbox' forum doesn't exist (wich is true, hehe).
I've tryed to creat a new 'lockbox' but the system doesnt take it as the 'system lockbox and the problem about not being able to delete posts/foruns continues...
I´d love some help ...

This should be fixed now. We'll make some edits to keep it from happening to others.

OK, I've got about 30 or so threads I am deleting, all of which say <1 day remaining....problem is they have said that for a week now, when does autodelete kick in? Or are we getting a manual delete option?
The auto delete is currently off. It will turn on soon. Don't worry about the old threads. They should sort of the screen, they take up no space, no one sees them but you, they show up in no searches, they are only visible if you go into the Lockbox forum. In other words, they have almost no effect on anything. They just aren't auto deleting yet.

Oh, I know they take up no room, and show up on nothing, just wasn't sure if I had missed something, or if it was a known/unknown bug.
I'm "guild site creator." This is nothing I need to be fixed as it is not important, but I would like to know the answer in case i really goof in the future.
I deleted someone's reply to a thread. Topic/thread stays intact in original forum with one less reply, which is now in lockbox.
I then changed my mind and wanted to undo the deletion and put the post back on the thread. How do I restore that comment? I only see a "move," "lock" or "split" option and so I tried to "move" but all it did was make this reply its own thread on the forum i move it to.
Is there a way to put it back where this post came from? It can't be access-related because I have all priviledges as creator... Otherwise, i'm not sure I understand what the point of the lockbox is, other than for moderators to see every hotheads' posts before they calm down and delete them LOL.

The purpose of the lolcbox is to give admins a "woops" safety net. This is especially useful when an admin accidentally deletes an entire forum.
As for moving single posts back, the split page also has a merge option where you can merge it back into the original topic.

What about the "Moved" topics. I have 1 moved to that box and now I can't delete it so the shadow topic will stay in my regular forum. Is there already a solution for it?

Shadow topics can be deleted on the Moderation page for the forum (link is at the bottom right of the forum). They just can't be clicked on and deleted with the top right icon.

Hey, uh, I messed up royally. A friend said she would be gone for a while, so I took the liberty of deleting her posts in a RP we're working on, and replaced her with another member in our guild. Turns out she's got her hands on another computer. To avoid her wrath, I need to learn how to bring back those posts from the lockbox. Is there anyway how?
