can this be done in the admin panel? so it shows up as which login has donated how much?

The PayPal donation button is something that really relies almost entirely on PayPal. We just provide a nice way to link out to their system. I'll take a look at what sort of tracking PayPal has. We may be able to add the Username to the data we send to PayPal on a donation so you could see that information in the *PayPal Admin* area.
