Google phishing detection
Hello.
Prospective members clicking on our "Apply to guild" link are getting a phishing warning:
Google Safe Browsing recently detected phishing on . Phishing sites pretend to be other websites to trick you.
You can report a detection problem or, if you understand the risks to your security, visit this unsafe site.
Is there something we can do about this? I reported the detection problem to Google, but for all I know there's actually something "phishy" going on.
We aren't exactly sure what is causing this. Google is not what I would call helpful when they do something like this.
After some investigation we have found that it is just your site that has this warning, it's not a global guildlaunch issue. This leads us to believe the main possible cause is that one of the accounts that is a member of your site is posting spam to their blogs. You should be able to scroll through your Activity Feed on your profile to get a quick glance through what is being posted from your community. This seems to be the most probable. If you find any questionable content, we can get it removed.
Another possibility that comes to mind is that Google does provide a place to report sites for phishing. Do you think it is possible that someone has motive to mass report your site? Unlikely, but possible.
We've used what little resource Google gives us in this area to report to them this false flag warning on your site. We will let you know if we get any information from Google.
Is is weird that it is only blocking you if you try to follow the link to the recruitment page/form. I can browse (obviously as a non-member) no problem through your site.
Is there something different once you follow the link https://azureguard.guildlaunch.com/recruiting/app_application.php?gid=262822 ?
