Site Applications

Our site pegasuscommand.com has a site application bug where sign ups see an error after submitting their application. How can this be fixed?

I just tested applying to your guild, once on pegasuscommand.guildlaunch.com and again on pegasuscommand.com and both seemed to go through. I also tried creating a new account on pegasuscommand.com and using that new account to apply. That also seemed to work fine. Could you provide some more information on you see happening?

Nevermind, I see it's Opera now. I've tested in Opera as well now and I was unable to reproduce the error.

Are multiple users getting this error? Have you been able to reproduce it yourself? It's possibly you have an extension that is causing the issue. I'm just stabbing in the dark at this point because I'm unable to reproduce it on my end.

 Yes and I have Opera with no add ons it is as it comes DL.  Yes every single person that has joined the site has got it. So at this point it has been reported to me about 30ish times over the last few weeks.  

Are their applications going through even though the error displays? Has no one been able to apply to your site since this started?

I'm still trying figure out what is causing this, but I have no good leads yet.

Any amount of information you can provide will help. Is there a special link you are giving people to apply on or are they going to your homepage and clicking apply? Anything about the steps people go through to get that error will help.

 It is making it to us, but as I am sure you understand it is a big issue for people with no prior history with us lol.  Anyway, they are being directed to the Apply to Pegasus Command link on the sites front page. Sometime we get people we have not told there is a bug so they apply a few times.  We only get one copy of their applications and they come in as they should.  However we get multiple PMs saying there is an application for each time they hit submit lol.

I got your test apps just fine as well. A member suggested it looked to them to be some type of database update error.

I had a similar (but different) message this morning the first time I tried to open up my website:

It was a lot longer than that, and repeated .. but as It took me half a dozen attempts to actually post it, this is all I could do.

I should have dropped an update for you this morning, sorry about that.

So, we are fairly certain we know what's causing it and we have a fix for it. The fix is queued up and will go out as soon as we can. Hopefully this week, I'll let you know!

Sorry for the delay on this, we had a few other fixes queued up with it. The fix for this should be out now, you should no longer see those errors pop up. Please let me know what you see on your end!

Do you post a list of the fixes/changes anywhere?  Would be cool to see ;-)
