I've just had messages stating:
Version 5 guild sites can now customize their backgrounds! Woohoo! Why didn't we do this earlier?
Is this actually working?
I've gone to my V5 site (www.lightwolves.eu) and under Page Background there is only one option: "Choose Background Image" .. when I click on that it comes up with an empty box and two buttons to find and upload an image from my computer.
I can't see any other options anywhere relating to the background.
We currently only have the option to upload your own background image. We do not yet have a library of preset backgrounds.
I hope that answers the question!
Oh .. d'oh .. silly me! I was getting that mixed up with the headings options, which I remember seeing lots of preset designs in.
I'll go have a play now :P
Yeah .. that's not really what I was after, but it's a good starting point. I'd like to be able to select whether or not the image tiles, or if the background is static and the page content scrolls past it.
I'd also like to be able to choose whether or not the content over the background is semi-translucent .. and be able to select the amount of translucency by either a slider bar or a percentage.
Just to make things even more complicated, I'd also like to be able to select different translucencies for different sections of content (central and side sections, for example).
It just seems a bit pointless having a background if you can't actually see it as it is all completely blocked out by the content.
This is the type of thing I'm trying to replicate:
Is any of this possible?
I really like the "clean" feel of the new layout, but if there is no way to tweak the site so it's different from the others, then it's going to look like an Enjin site :p
