I've been trying to setup some calendar events that start at certain times. For instance our raids start at 8pm. I am very careful to set the time for the event, however on the calendar itself, it shows 12:00am for every event.
I thought maybe I did something wrong, but when I click on the edit button for the event it still shows 8pm start. This would be very confusing for someone if they see it.
I always get confused with the site settings for time .. there are multiple places to set the time zone .. primarily on the site admin (Site Settings>Global settings) and on your personal profile (profile>settings>time zone) - might be worth checking those.
I very carefully went though all the options I could find for the site referencing time. Everything is set to the guilds timezone, and it's definately on 12hr setup, not 24hr. Like I said, if I click on the event after it's been set it shows the correct time, but on the calendar itself it shows midnight(12:00am)
Ok, finally figured it out. Appparently I had to update my own personal time zone a second time to make the change stick. The calendar shows the time from the point of view of your selected time zone. Once I went in and hit update on my own profile time zone(again) the times on the calendar started showing correctly
Ahhh .. how weird that it didn't stick the first time. Thank you for the update .. no doubt that will be helpful when someone else has the same problem :-)
