I'm still in the process of building our Kinship's site, and as yet haven't added our membership, characters, etc. But members have asked about having one site for multiple games. In the past we had (at other locations) a separate site/home for the Kinship/Guild on each game, so each site was themed for that particular game.
Can GuildLaunch staff and/or other users please give me tips, suggestions, advice, etc. about any issues or problems I should be forewarned about in regards to a site that is not centered around a single game, but several? I know nothing about CSS, coding, etc., and would really appreciate any tips/advice ahead of time, before I run in to problems or issues and have to tear the site apart and start over.
If there are "guides' or how-to's here in GuildLaunch that pertain to building a "Multi-game" site/home could you please point me in the right direction so I can use them to answer some of my questions?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
I'd say just be sure that your homepage reflects your 'main' game but also your other games.. Otherwise the ones that play certain games feel 'left out' and as though you are not dedicating your time to all areas your guild plays in.
Theme wise I'd pick something that is overall clean and simple. A generalized theme that is showing off your guild as a whole and not just one game.
You can have a news slider which you can generate and link to news focusing on multiple platforms/games right at log in.
The site builder is pretty easy to use honestly. I know nothing of html/css/etc but I do alright for our guild.
