This is the first time I've been using this, so I'd like to ask the community to review my process to winnow out any mistakes and/or around-the-horn steps I'm taking. T.I.A.
1) Few hours before raid - from in-game calendar, manually enter all attendees
2) At raid time - add/remove any members from sign-up list
3) Add events (already created)
drop down to select correct event
to add characters click the signed-up to fill in
manually correct the time back to the actual raid time. (if you do this first, adding the players will reset it to the incorrect time once more)
4) Pull up SK list, mark all those in raid, call attendance to ensure all are marked.
5) Write down all boss/trash loot and who it was distributed to and if MS/OS/DE, suicide those who gained loot.
6) After Raid - Add items (ie loot) to events (ie Boss Kills)
Go to summary in armory for guild
Locate first piece of loot on handwritten list
Click on loot
Copy item number
Go to Raid Events page
Click Add Item
Type in name (copy/paste from previous armory page)
Add dash and type in modifier: Heroic/HeroicWF/offspec/DE
Drop down and select character or Enchanter
Repeat for the next 16 pieces.
Note on Events, re: SK
Since we use SK, Events are structure as follows:
Default Value is 0
Zero Sum = Yes
Counts for Attendance = Yes
When selecting it from the drop down, is has a radio button for "one" or "two" - no idea what that is so I leave it on 1
Horridly labor intensive to track loot. I understand there is an in-game thing, however, have no idea which to choose because we do not use DKP, and do not know if it tracks anything other than attendance, and if it would modify our SK list.
Because when you pull an item report it seems to be going off the name, opposed to the item id - I cannot see how many "Grunt's Solid Signet"s have dropped because one is entered in as "Grunt's Solid Signet - Heroic" and another is "Grunt's Solid Signet - offspec".
Pool Management has the option to go for "Fixed" or "Zero Sum", and I couldn't find a note about this on your SK FAQ. I think I need to move this to Zero Sum, as we keep getting read outs for what I think would be DKP points. There is a huge portion of this page that should vanish once a user has chosen SK, I believe. Very confusing.
Even when you implement a solution for identifying the exact piece of gear - there should be somewhere to note if it was DE'd or for an OS. Please add a small note space for items, or radio-buttons for MS/OS/DE so we know, in relation to SK and mats, why the gear went to who.
Thank you again for any and all feedback. Shortening this task would make me happy. :)
