I am not able to open Bidder while in a raid, and have had this problem since the last WoW patch. I am running DKPMon_RaidLeaderSuite v5.4. I have deleted it and reinstalled it twice.
The raid tracking portion of the addon seems to be working fine. I am able to import the nightly strings into the rapid raid portion of the site. The site is updating properly. However I can’t see any results from my exports from the site. Because Bidder is not functioning.
I set myself up as the DKP lead and I am constantly spammed with:
DKPmon: I’m now the DKP lead.
DKPmon: DKP leader changed to Julise
DKPmon: DkP leader changed to Julise-Greymane
This is a constant spam in my chat box during the entirety of the raid. It repeats about every 30 sec. And I get this spam whether I set myself up as DKP lead or not.
Bidder is totally non-responsive. I (nor anyone else) can open any menu from it.
Can you please tell me what I need to do so this mod will work correctly again? I use your system and need it to be working properly.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Do I post these rapid raid issues in the wrong place? It seems like this is not the area to post for any help with or even acknowledgement of rapid raid issues. This forum appears to be of little interest to GL support. I'll repost in a different forum. I apologize if this is the wrong spot - it seemed appropriate but I see a forum called Game Mods - I'll try there. I'm not a forum manager but it seems as though simple courtesy would allow for a response from GL that this is the wrong place for this subject.
Julise is supposedly doing some beta testing for you Steven but the last two times I have logged into Vent before a raid I noticed that you never even showed up in game to contact her. The second time you left her waiting and she never even had a chance to go feed her dogs before raid.
If you ask her to be on to test some new code either try showing up or send an email saying that you can't make it so she doesn't sit for an hour waiting.
It looks like this was posted while I was on vacation - our QA guy was covering for me while I was out, but support was a bit slower as a result. I'm sorry for the delay in an official response!
Firstly, as far as the beta testing for new versions goes, I would suggest sending an email either to your contact internally or to firstname.lastname@example.org . We can definitely look into what's going on there and direct you to the proper folks to get it squared away.
As far as the Bidder add-on itself goes, are you using the latest version from our WowInterface suite?
It was Stephen who asked her to be on to test the addons last week and never showed up either time. Still no response as well.
How about having Stephen try responding to Julise and help test as was said weeks ago now.

Can you give me any reason why I should spend additional time trying to work with you and your staff to resolve LONG-STANDING mod issues? Your staff does not follow-through unless it's an issue that takes no more than 10 min or unless it is glitzy and visable to many. And I do realize I'm not the many; I'm a minority because I use all aspects of your Raid Tracker/Dkp_mon/Bidder services. I'm sure most of your subscribers don't. Anything involving TRUE troubleshooting and brain cells; any issue that benefits the minority rather than the majority, any issue that takes a behind the scenes, unglamorous effort, you skirt around and simply give nothing but lip service.
I will certainly give you credit for good service during earlier times. Years ago, you actually researched and solved our irritating mod issues. You truly wanted each of your customers satisfied. Alas, those days have disappeared.
I'm sick and tired of your lip service. I can get that by going through McDonalds drive-through window. And although, imo, the product I get from the McDonald's window is not much of a quality product, I know what to expect and I get what I pay for. This is not true for Guildlaunch.
I was told that you guys had a new programmer coming onboard who was "excited" about his opportunity to work with the mods/addons Guildlaunch provides with it's packages. Where are the results of his efforts? I'm not saying they are not there with some other games, but there are no changes with the broken WoW mods. The raid tracker is still not tracking bosses from SoO which has been out since Sept 2013. Bidder has been dead since patch 5.5, which I think was in Nov 2013.
I know you are a very busy man Stephen and I respect your time. But I have tried setting up times in-game so we could test Bidder. You didn't show several times after the first night we met so you could fix the spam in my chat when I ran the raid tracker. And I'm truly glad I no longer have to deal with raid tracker spam. That was annoying and I'm glad you logged in to fix it. But we still have ongoing issues. Why not send someone else to work with me if you don't have the time?
So guys, why don't you tell me what it will accomplish for me to e-mail your support staff yet again? What will I receive in return for yet another attempt to contact your team with a mod issue? Lip service or resolution? I think we both know the answer to that.
I realize this falls on deaf ears, but I'm frustrated enough to say it. I'm looking for another raid mod that can serve my guild's needs. Once I find a suitable one, it will be time to search for another guild hosting company and vent I can pick up anywhere. I know I'm a little pea in the pod, and I know your low monthly subscription fee does not pain my bank account. But I wanted to feel important and to receive quality service. That is no longer an option.
EDIT: I forgot to add, in all fairness, Guildlaunch should remove Bidder from its "package" addons. It's been broken for about 6 months; you make no effort to fix it. Why not adhere to honesty in advertisement and remove your broken mod from your subscriber package, from WoW Interface, from any mention in your stickies, and reduce your monthly sub fee since you are charging subscribers for an item that is broken. People don't appreciate paying for broken items. Take it out of your subscription package. It's one thing to pay for something you don't use. That's a user option. But another thing entirely to pay for something you wanted but was delivered broken.
Do you understand?
I'm not going to argue with you on your perception of our responsiveness here. I've addressed that I didn't think we've kept the mods updated fast enough. I provided my personal email to you so that we could coordinate things and I had some scheduling issues at the beginning of the month. As I said at the time I was going to *try* get online the second day. I didn't make that second day either, and I have not heard anything from you at my personal email until this thread. Connecting with people directly in-game is something I am more than willing to do, but it does occur outside of normal hours and requires extra scheduling. If you would like to work on finding a time we can sync up, then please contact me at the email I provided and that we've used to discuss this prior.
