This functionality will be released on 3/1/2011.

If you don't feel like watching, here is the synopsis:

  • Add the Tabard widget to your site.
  • Go to your Armory page on the Blizzard armory
  • Right click your Tabard image
  • Choose 'Save As'
  • Save the file as 'tabard.png'
  • Upload that file to your File Library (linked from the Tabard widget)
  • The Tabard widget will now show your Tabard file.

Note: IE8 will not let you save the image. This is because Blizzard doesn't display the image fully in IE8. Use Firefox for the most predictable results.

Finally! I have been waiting for this function. Also a little suggestion.. Is it mabe possible to link this to the armory site? So that when you click the tabard it re-directs you to the guild armory page ;)

The video was made using Windows 7. Try using Firefox. Some of the other browsers seem to have bugs with saving Canvas objects.

You named the file 'tabard.png.png'. Remove the extra '.png' and reupload.

Another option for those having trouble saving the image in certain browsers- hit printscreen, open paint or other image editing program, and paste. Now crop the image to the correct size and save. If you are skilled and have a better art program, you can even set the area around the tabbard itself transparent.

This is of course a lower quality/more work option, but if you really dont want to DL a new browser and yours wont let you save the image, this may be for you.

The tabard widens the column I put it in. Would it be possible to have the widget resize the tabard.png? Could be as simple as <img height=?? width=??> to make the browser resize it to either specified dimensions or "fit to column". =)
