Gamer Launch needs your help! We are building a new billing system and need some international users to help us test it.
Participants will receive a $50 Amazon gift card as thanks.
In the next couple weeks we would like to begin voluntary user testing on our more international-friendly billing system before full launch.
- The testing will require you to complete transactions with real payment (credit cards, bank transfers, etc – whatever is most commonly used in your country).
- Your guild must be on an unpaid plan (free).
- We will refund all of these transactions.
- As thanks for your help, we will give you one month free of our Ultimate Plan and one $50 Amazon gift card.
If you are a Gamer Launch user and are interested in participating, please email me with subject line “Testing”.
Our goal is to launch a billing system that works perfectly for all of our international users. Your feedback will help us make this happen. We would really appreciate your help!
Update 12/7/2015: We still need participants from France, Germany, Russia, Argentina, and Brazil!
Gamers who’ve logged into GuildPortal over the last few days got a nasty surprise. A short notice on the site’s homepage informed them that GuildPortal would be going offline permanently by the end of the month. Check out the notice below:

I have had several jobs that I’ve left voluntarily over the years, and every single one of them has been a little bit different. There are jobs that I have left with a smile, a handshake, and well wishes for everyone involved. And there are jobs that I have left with a pair of familiar hand gestures and words that I am not allowed to repeat on this website, including heavy use of one word that rhymes with “duck” but is most certainly not referring to waterfowl.
This is not by accident. When I left with a smile and a handshake, I was leaving on good terms. I wanted the possibility of returning. I wanted good feelings. When I left with choice profanity… well, I wasn’t going back there, and I wanted the people in charge to know why. If, you know, they could derive some meaning out of that profane tirade.

Just a few days ago, we collected and showcased some of our favorite Gamer Launch guild sites so you could see a good guild site in action. Hopefully, you took a little inspiration from our picks.
This time around, we’re going to look at our favorites again and highlight exactly what makes them so great. Each guild took a different approach to its home page and chose to include different elements that suited its personality and purpose. These sites engage the community and look good doing it. So let’s pull back the curtain and see how all the parts work together to make such an effective whole.

We’ve written a lot of posts about the importance of a guild or game community website. And we’ve touched on what you should be looking for in a guild hosting platform and why WordPress isn’t the one you want to use.
But it’s one thing to talk about effective community websites, and another thing to see them in action. So we’ve compiled a few of our favorite Gamer Launch sites to show you how some of the most active guilds use our features. All of these sites have home pages that engage their community members and invite guests to learn more about their organization. And they look fantastic while they do it.

We’ve been working really hard, guys.
Today, we bring you the results of weeks and weeks of blood, sweat and tears. We’re proud to say that we’ve just finished up and launched our biggest product update in company history! What’s really awesome about this update is that it’s focused on user experience improvements (or UX, as those of you in the tech biz would call it). And user experience is what makes the digital world go ‘round. We present to you, Gamer Launch’s…

We’ve talked a little bit in previous posts about how much you can benefit from having a guild, clan, or game community website. We even went over what kinds of things you should look for when you start searching for a guild hosting platform.
Game community websites help bring players together. They’re a place to communicate with each other, organize events, and recruit new people to play with. But some of you are probably wondering why you have to use a guild hosting platform to do all those things. Can’t you use a regular web platform like WordPress instead?
